Musa joined Futuregrowth in November 2022 as an Investment Analyst, where he is responsible for SA and ex-SA unlisted credit investments.
Before joining Futuregrowth, Musa gained extensive technical transaction execution experience in private debt and equity investment management. He has worked for various Pan-African and Global institutions, including Stanlib (Africa Real Estate Private Equity), Alexander Forbes Investments (Account Management), and the Development Bank of Southern Africa (SADC Coverage and Origination).
Musa has travelled across 22 African countries, focusing on deal origination and new business development. He has presented in seminars and workshops to Pan-African Corporates and State-Owned Enterprises on deal structuring in the context of both private debt and private equity. He has built a solid understanding of the Sub-Saharan macro-economic and socio-political landscape, supported by a strong foundation formed in Economic research, encompassing Economic analysis and Financial Modelling.
Musa holds a BCom degree in Applied Economics and is finishing his master’s in management finance and investments through Wits Business School. He is also a CFA Charterholder.
