Portia leads and drives the transformation of the property Sector. She has an extensive knowledge and is a specialist in Transformation as driven by the South African legislation framework of Broad-Based Economic Empowerment Act (BBBEE). Portia also convenes all 12 South African Sector Councils and has assisted and supported many sector councils in various requirement to enable sector councils to successfully set up deliver against their mandate.

She is part of the team that developed the Management Development Programme on the BBBEE curriculum on behalf DTI for Unisa and Wits. She lecturers on transformation and/or Property Sector Code at Unisa SBL, Wits, UJ and UCT school of Graduate business School.
Portia has extensive knowledge and experience in dealing and lobbying government, driving stakeholder management, influencing collaboration, and ultimately fostering good partnerships.
She had written South African legislation on Women Empowerment Framework and has written and supported many various departments, organisations, and programmes on developing and/or implementing their policies on sustainable inclusive economic strategies.
