Zodidi is the Senior Advisor: Human Settlements at SALGA. With 11 years overall experience at SALGA having also held the positions of Programme Manager: Municipal Infrastructure & Services and Senior Advisor: Built Environment & Planning. She has full picture of how the human settlements space functions and the critical link to infrastructure services. She is an experienced public & private sector manager in the field of town and regional planning, development planning, infrastructure and housing/ human settlements. Trained and experienced in various areas i.e. urban and regional planning, infrastructure & services, strategic management, leadership, human capital management, public finance management, project management. Zodidi is a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and sound problem analysis and solving skills. Prior to joining SALGA, Zodidi has also worked in the Local Government space, where she was working for the Ekurhuleni Metro City Development Department as the Area Manager for the Benoni Customer Care Center. She was responsible for managing the Benoni City Development Department leading17 staff members. She oversaw the performance of all town planning duties for the department; assisting public with their enquiries, processing town planning applications (Township establishment, rezoning, subdivision, consolidation and consent use), giving inputs on formulation of Spatial Development Frameworks and Integrated Development Plans for the Metro. She has also worked for the National Department of Human Settlements in the Policy Development Unit.
Zodidi obtained A Master of Management Degree on Public & Development Management from the Wits University school of Public and Development Management, and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Town & Regional Planning also from Wits University. She also holds a Project Management Certificate from the Regenesys School of Public Management.
